Heading West? Been there done that? How about a change! I-94 adventure has an eclectic mix of old cars, shopping, history, good old-fashioned food, a hint of Lake Wobegon, and a Nobel Prize winner. And, if that's not enough we think you should "stop and smell the roses" along the way.

Day One
On the way out of the Twin Cities on I-94 we can guide your group to possibly some great new adventures. Ellingson Car Museum can take us back to our past when "muscle" cars were cool and so was Elvis. The gift shop is just as interesting as the cars from street signs to Coke and Pepsi merchandise.
Minnesota is one of the few states that do not have tax on clothing purchases. Albertville Premium Outlets have over 100 stores such as Nike, Coldwater Creek, and Coach. Send the guys to Ellingson's and the gals shopping!

Stonehouse Tavern & Eatery is the a great stop for lunch or dinner. They offer award-winning cuisine at group tour friendly pricing. Our hotel accommodations can meet just about any expectation required by motor coach groups visiting the St. Cloud area. The CVB can assist in locating the perfect lodging property.

Munsinger and Clemens Gardens, located along the Mississippi River, offer a beautiful bouquet of color. The calming of the river and overall beauty of the gardens is sure to be one of the highlights of our tour. An evening stroll through the gardens is the perfect way to end the day.

Day Two
Customization will be the key to putting together the many options available as we GO WEST! Most of our limited service properties offer an extensive complimentary continental breakfast to start the day.

Haehn Museum and Whitby Gift Shop/Gallery warmly welcome visitors to the Benedictine collection of artifacts. It's not only the history of the Benedictine nuns, but the creative, and talented nuns of today that offer for sale beautiful scarves, note cards, jewelry, pottery and so much more.
It's back on the bus to Hemker Wildlife Park where the animals are brought to you for our viewing-we will be up close and personal with nature! From the world's most exotic animals to Minnesota's most cherished creatures, Hemker offers a friendly environment to appreciate the natural beauty of the outdoors.
Lunch at Charlie's Cafe in Freeport located in the heart of Lake Wobegon Country. The restaurant looks much the same as it did when the tales of Lake Wobegon became a familiar public radio show. Save some room for the best home made pies around.

Yes you can get a beer at The Palmer House, but maybe just a "Dead Reckoning" tour will put in the spirit. Built in 1901 this historic hotel is full of history and mystery. We are told the ghosts are friendly. The Palmer House is located in Sauk Centre as is the boyhood home of Noble Prize winner Sinclair Lewis the author of "Main Street".
You decide history, mystery or both!

The St. Cloud CVB would be happy to assist you in planning your trip to Granite Country USA! Take home rock-solid memories from Granite Country USA.
